<description>To clarify, the WSDL in DFS 6.0 and DFS 6.0 SP1 is identical, since service packs should generally be focused on quality not new features.

The Java sample code provided above was written against a pre-release version of the DFS SDK for 6.0 SP1--as clearly noted in module preambles. That being said, the Java source code should be compatible with the released version of DFS SDK 6.0.

However, the .NET sample code requires the forthcoming DFS SDK 6.0 SP1--again this is clearly noted in module preambles. Since &lt;a href=&quot;http://craigrandall.net/archives/2007/12/whats-new-in-dfs-60-sp1/&quot; title=&quot;DFS 6.0 SP1 released on 12/21/2007&quot; rel=&quot;nofollow&quot;&gt;DFS 6.0 SP1 won&#039;t release until next month&lt;/a&gt;, the .NET sample code is mostly for your information. You won&#039;t be able to compile it, since the sample project references but doesn&#039;t include the .NET assemblies that comprise the forthcoming .NET productivity layer in DFS 6.0 SP1 (e.g. Emc.Documentum.FS.DataModel.dll, Emc.Documentum.FS.Runtime.dll and Emc.Documentum.FS.Services.dll).

Also, the .NET productivity layer in DFS will be based on the initial release of Microsoft Windows Communication Foundation (WCF) within .NET 3.0, which is the modern basis for interoperability testing with JAX-WS/WSIT/Metro. A Microsoft Web Service Enhancements (WSE) 3.0 sample will still exist in the DFS SDK; however, WSE 3.0 is unsupported--only the WCF-based assemblies are supported in DFS product.

Hope this helps... -Craig</description>
